That trip was her second high-altitude climb to organise, and she knew she didn’t want to go with just anyone. Months of posts and messages on different platforms finally brought together a group, though some dropped out last minute while others stayed. But once they were on the mountain, she discovered firsthand the difference the right people make. Climbing with partners who matched her skills and motivations, not just whoever was available, made the ascent more rewarding and built real trust. And it left her wondering: Why doesn’t the system enable this? Why is finding the right partners still left to chance and luck?

As if it isn't hard enough already, Äret grew up in a flat country far from the Alps, like most of us do. People are scattered and the search often means endless social media posts, overwhelming amount of groups, waiting, misaligned people, cancellations, or even unwanted attention when all you really want is someone to climb with.
But she also knows those rare moments when everything clicked - when trust, mindset, and goals aligned perfectly. Those moments change everything.
That’s what led her to start MYMCO, building a platform she needed herself. Her mission is to make those moments possible for others too. Not as a matter of luck, but as the new norm.

What started as an idea in the Alps is now a team and a vision much bigger - three founders bringing together lived experience and vision, world-class mountaineering, and the technology to make it real.
The driving force behind MYMCO, shaping its vision and growth. With a background in marketing and a heart rooted in the mountains, she’s determined to change the way adventurers find and trust each other.
Record-breaking alpinist, the youngest woman to climb all 14x8000ers and summit K2, and athlete for Rab and Vallon. She knows firsthand that in the mountains, compatibility isn’t optional - it’s vital, because trust can be a matter of life and death.
The tech brain behind MYMCO, turning late nights of coding into a scalable platform for smart connections. After seeing the idea on a poster in his climbing gym, he knew it was too compelling to miss.

Finding the right partners should not be left to chance. We believe the mountain community deserves more than random availability and chance connections that can lead to mismatches, wasted time, or unsafe climbs. Connection should begin with alignment – skills, goals, and trust – so every adventure starts stronger.
Our vision is to become the global hub for outdoor connections – expanding across sports and building a trusted ecosystem where safety, compatibility, and real connections come first.
